Secret grandmother continued

Thanks for making your grandmothers feel special, girls.  Keep up the good work!

Secret Grandmother Social

For our Personal Progress activity this months, we adopted a secret grandma from our ward.  For a month, each girl had a secret grandma they had to keep in contact with in secret.  They could do anything from writing a letter, sending them a card, baking or giving them various gifts.  At the end of the month we had a social/tea party and they got to find out who their secret granddaughter was.

It was a lot of fun and interesting to hear all their stories about their childhood and what hadn't been invented.  The grandmothers also gave the girls some really cool advice.

Ice Skating

On the 6th we went Ice Skating at the Kroc Center. We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again. Hopefully next time we'll get Sis. Riddle and Sis. Parker on the Ice.

Death by Chocolate

We had our combined YW/YM activity yesterday. It was a Brownie Bake-off between the YW vs. YM
Sis. Parker's team made this ooey, gooey madness.

Sis. Riddle's team made this Oreo cookie concoction.

Angie's team made this gooey, caramel brownie. Are you in sugar shock yet?

There was something for everyone. Unless you wanted a plain ol' brownie. I don't think anyone made a regular brownie.
Cheesecake brownie. Another one of Sis. Riddles creations.
Not only do they bake. They clean too!

Love to see a satisfied customer.
I think it's pretty safe to say that the YW blew the YM out of the water with their mad baking skills. We had so many brownies left. The rest is being used for the Court of Honor for their dessert. Everyone is going to be VERY happy!

Good job girls! We miss you, Sis. Stanton!

Getting To Know You

We had a Personal Progress activity last night. We met at Angie's house and we had to bring something we like to put in salads for a friendship salad. Everything was yummy we had a good variety of stuff to put into our salad. We also filled out surveys about ourselves and Sis. Parker read them and we had to guess who it was. We learned more about each other and found out some of us have some really cool talents!

Forgiveness

Our lesson this week was given by Sis. Parker, the topic was Forgiveness. It was a great lesson. We missed all those who weren't there.

The highlight of the lesson was Sis. Parker's handout{she always has great handouts}.

Boot camp

Build Our Own Testimony.  Boot camp was the theme to our camp this year.

Getting fresh was an old grandpa

Sis. Prescott, our Stake YW's President

The girls definitely didn't starve.   We had catered carne asada tacos on Thursday.  YUMMY!

Chillin by the pool side.  It got up to 107 degrees while at camp.  No worries, the girls stayed cool in the refreshing pool.
Even Bishop Mitchell couldn't turn down a refreshing dip in the pool!

Ouch! Hope got stuck by a barbed wire fence.
